The unexpected death of a baby leaves parents with deep heartache. Care, support and guidance during this challenging time of mourning is invaluable to healing and is offered by The Family Birth Center at Little Company of Mary Hospital. The nursing and pastoral care staff at Little Company of Mary Hospital offers compassionate guidance and resources to support parents during a loss due to miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death. - Share, Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support
Share, Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support serves those affected by the tragic death of a baby through early pregnancy loss, stillbirth or in the first few months of life.

Holbrook Counseling Center has been providing compassionate counseling and other related services for more than 50 years to the residents of Cook and Lake counties. Their caring professionals serve individuals, families, and couples.
The Catholic Cemeteries Ministry of Consolation and Compassion is praying for the dead and comforting those who mourn, one of the Spiritual Works of Mercy. They are pleased to offer complimentary enrichment training to parishes.
Depending on the needs of the family, the Minister of Consolation and Compassion under the guidance and supervision of the Pastor, and on behalf of the parish will:
- Pray for the members of the parish community who have died and for their families.
- Meet with the bereaved family to offer support and guidance as they plan the funeral liturgy.
- Visit the family and friends of the deceased at the wake to offer support and prayer on behalf of their parish community.
- Conduct the wake service if needed or requested by the bereaved family.
- Serve as a greeter, lector or Eucharistic Minister at the funeral liturgy if needed or requested by the family.
- Attend occasional prayer sessions and on-going formation to support the ministry.
