8th Annual Solemn Vespers for the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation

(August 31, 2022) The Archdiocese of Chicago and Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago, with Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and Ss. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, came together for for their 8th Annual Ecumenical Solemn Vespers for the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation.  The Catholic delegation included His Excellency Bishop Mark Bartosic, Fr. Jeremiah Boland, Fr. Larry Basbas, Dr. Daniel Olsen, Dr. Angela Swain, Susan Pudelek, M. Div., and Michael Terrien, Obl. OSB.  The Greek Orthodox delegation included His Grace Bishop Timothy Bakakos of Hexamilion, Fr. Richard Demetrius Andrews, Fr. Paul Borislav Dinkov, Deacon Perry Hamalis, Ph.D, Nicholas Anton, M. Div., Dr. George Nassos and Dr. Helen Theodoropoulos.  The post vespers lecture was presented by Sr. Pat Bergen, CSJ.  The title of her lecture was "A Splendid Communion! (Christ, Humanity and All Creation)"
