Several Archdiocese of Chicago parishes will host Fish Frys
Feb. 14, 2024 is Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of the 2024 Lenten season, a solemn 40-day period devoted to reflection, prayer, spiritual preparation, and fasting before Easter. Jesus sacrificed his flesh for us on Good Friday. On Fridays during Lent, as an outward expression of their faith, Catholics abstain from eating meat in Jesus’ honor.
