In October 2024, Cardinal Cupich sent a letter to all priests emphasizing Respect Life Sunday and October as Respect Life Month. In his message, he encouraged pastors to appoint a volunteer as a Parish Respect Life Coordinator, stating, "Please choose a parishioner who is dedicated to the Gospel of Life and with whom you will be comfortable working in this important ministry."
